The Folly of Short-Cuts

Now that I am into my thirties, there comes a time when I start to realise short-circuiting may not necessarily be good. Especially in this world of speed and efficiency, that truly defies the norm. Well, it begs to have a different stand in this case.

Nowadays, we have pre-marital sex, surrogate mothers, etc...

If we look beyond the usual coaxing on what-to-dos, what-not-to-dos, there is usually something major that we missed out on. Search again, and you will know what I mean. And of course, go to the right people for advice and you will truly see the wisdom beyond :) It's just like helping the butterfly to get out of its cocoon quicker or pulling a seedling from the soil so that it seems to grow taller. We are actually not helping at all. The consequence that comes can be more costly than you imagine...

hmmm...
i agree with you there on the constitution of a process. it has to and should take its due time... short cutting a process is counterproductive...

pre maritial sex and all... i think to each his own. there is no pakka rule in place. that is not a process. it is an event. and that will depend on the maturity of the people involved...

conscience never prevents you from doing anything. it prevents you from enjoying it...

cheers

I think the conscience part will be a big hurdle even after marriage; it will come back to haunt either spouse that the person was previously in an illicit relationship.

For the doer, he/she may always need an illicit relationship on and off to keep a high...

For the other spouse, there will be a trust issue...

In their quest for that perfect destination, people often get so excited that they opt for short-cuts. The fact of the matter is that there is no perfect destination.

I think it is best to go with the natural flow.

Consequences can be very real in our lives. Though sometimes it creeps quietly and nibbles at us bit by bit, there will come a day when everything just collapses under it's sheer weight.

Dear all, it always pays to walk right. Be good to yourself and spare yourself from bad consequences :)
